Company’s history Year 1993
On the 12th of February the branch is registered as legally independent JSC ““Software House Riga” Komerccentrs”.
The main aims of foundation of Komerccentrs is to maintain the informative system of Legal acts (at present – NAIS) and the rest of JSC “Software House Riga” created products, as well as to represent the world’s leading IT producers in Latvia. The basic activity of JSC ““Software House Riga” Komerccentrs” is the largest computer engineering shop in Kr. Barona Street 4.
In the Komerccentrs IT service department is separated apart. Though at that time formation of this kind of branch was not well-known, it allowed the company to make its work much more effective. Year 1994
The ownership of Komerccentrs has been overtaken by daughter company of ,,SWH Rīga” - ,,SWH Informatīvās Sistēmas”. The name is changed as well — JSC ,,SWH Informatīvās Sistēmas" Komerccentrs.
JSC Komerccentrs „SWH Informatīvās Sistēmas” starts its activities in UNIX solutions field and practically is the only company in Latvia operating in this field. Year 1997
By implementing its activities in state government sector, the Komerccentrs management realized how important is service support in Latvian regions is. For that purposes JSC Komerccentrs ,,SWH Informatīvās Sistēmas" establishes computer engineering network, in which 17 companies operate from all Latvia.
Thinking of regional development and business expansion Komerccentrs ,,SWH Informatīvās Sistēmas" opens branch office in Rezekne, which has worked successfully until year 2006.
JSC Komerccentrs „SWH Informatīvās Sistēmas” establishes Computer program Copyright agency (at present – Business Software Alliance BSA) with the aim to support global policy, which would promote innovations, development of computer programs and its related technologies and competitive environment. Year 1998
Komerccentrs ,,SWH Informatīvo Sistēmas” was reorganized. To increase the company’s share capital, the leading employees of the company are invited to become owners. Passing to more progressive forms of commercial and financial administration and relatively changing the form of business and company’s name, it becomes. “Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. – one of daughter companies of holding company “DATI”.
„Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. establishes civil organization Information and communication technology association of Latvia (ICTAL). The aim of the association is to popularize and promote Public Information development in Latvia, in order to let each inhabitant benefit from information technologies and take part in new economics in full way. „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. in cooperation with ,,Lattelekom” implements a project “Apollo dators”. This is the first project in Latvia, which allows to obtain a computer with internet connection on lease. Year 2000
The only IT field magazine in Latvia “Datorpasaule” makes a readers inquiry, and „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. is acknowledged to be the best IT field company in Latvia. Year 2001
At the end of the year the holding company „DATI” makes a decision to sell the owned shares of „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. to the management of daughter company. From this moment „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. becomes an independent company. Year 2005
„Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. becomes the first IBM prime partner in the Baltics in service area.

Komerccentrs has realized that the arrangement and the adaptive control of inner processes is a foundation to make the company implement its impact quickly and effectively by acting proactively, purposefully and systematic, as well as reacting to market changes. Company’s structure At the present moment the structure of „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. is formed by two main directions – Support direction and Business direction, which include ten departments. The main aim of business direction is to ensure long term, continuous performance of „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. by organizing qualitative rendering of services to the clients. Service department, Products and IT solution department and Sales department are dealing with these matters. The main aim of support direction is to promote and ensure continuous and qualitative service to inner and outer clients. R&D department, Logistics department, Legal department, Advertising and public relation department, Personnel department, Financial department and Administrative department are dealing with these matters. Affiliated companies „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. has 1 daughter company — „Metrika” Ltd. The company „Metrika” Ltd. was founded on 31 March, 2005 with an aim to provide high level process management services, as well as comprehensive training regarding process implementation and management. The aim of “Metrika” Ltd. is to be leading specialist of training, evaluation, implementation and maintenance of process management solutions in Latvia. The principles of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) are in the basis of company’s performance. It is the most widely used IT service management approach in the world. ITIL contains the best world’s experience, which has come both, state organizations and companies and companies of private sector. „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. is one of shareholders ofJSC „IT Latvija”. „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. owns 2% of company’s shares. JSC „Latvijas Pasta pakalpojumu tīkls” is IT Service Company, which was founded in year 1995 as Daughter Company of VAS “Latvijas Pasts” for IT infrastructure development and maintenance of “Latvijas Pasts”.
Quality management system Since year 2001, quality management system of “Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. conform to standards of ISO 9001. On the 10th of January, 2007 after quality audit of international certification company Bureau Veritas Certification the Komerccentrs received the usual certificate of conformity the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. Quality management system of Komerccentrs includes all the main fields of action – sales of computer engineering and software, adjustment and implementation, product support service, as well as network designing and consulting. At the beginning of year 2006 by changing the infrastructure of Komerccentrs, a separate structural unit was formed – Quality management department, which contains two very important services – Helpdesk and Quality services. Work activities IT infrastructure and security solutions IT infrastructure and security solutions are the main business directions of „Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd.,, Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. in cooperation with IBM, HP, Enterasys Networks, Microsoft, Novell, BMC Software, CA, Quantum, Eaton Power Quality (Powerware) offers maintenance of IT solutions and services — network and data security solutions, including data storage and backup copy solutions, by ensuring installation, adjustment and audit of the solutions. Network security solutions ensure complete control of network access, it means that the only needed flow of data is ensured and the priority of most important network applications are determined for functioning of the company. Network security solutions are special systems, which are able to gather information from practically every equipment of network infrastructure (firewalls, antivirus systems, routers, commutators, determination of breaking into systems, log servers) and analyze and correlate security regulations in the whole network infrastructure. By developing technical network service of computer engineering during and post warranty period in all Latvia, ,,Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. has formed and now is coordinating Latvian service network “Datortehnikas serviss”, which consists of 20 leading computer companies in Latvia cities, its cooperation has formed during a long period of time, by acting as partners of ,,Komerccentrs DATI grupa” Ltd. NAIS (Information system of normative acts) NAIS is a computerized system of active normative acts of Republic of Latvia and international legal acts throughout its territory as well as legal acts of Riga City Council, which offers actual edition and history of normative acts, as well as texts of documents before making the amendments. NAIS gives a chance to get acquainted and work with issued documents of decision and executive institutions of Republic of Latvia. The program is made with the aim to summarize all active and dynamically changing normative acts, so that they could be found quickly, convenient to overview and easy to use. Data base is being supplemented constantly with new information, its authenticity is guaranteed by the state authority and government lawyers, who are dealing with systemization of normative acts. Nowadays NAIS is being used by 2000 subscribers— Parliament of Republic of Latvia, Cabinet of Ministers of Republic of Latvia, Ministries of Latvia and its subordinated institutions, foreign embassies and consulates, local governments and their companies, banks, legal offices, educational institutions, libraries, state and private companies, as well as private persons. For its part “First Office”, which is an integrated accounting program with implementation support for warehouse and salary modules of small companies and associations, include all the most important functions, which are needed for everyday work. Document management solution (Doclogix) ensures improvement of document output, movement, availability and storage in one and also several companies. A common document register is being formed, that eases the access to the documents, control of implementation of documents from revision till insertion in file, choice of process of coordination of documents, automation and control. The solution offers different kind of inter tie-up, it makes faster the founding of necessary information related to work, selection of documents by one or several criteria, for example, by address, date of implementation, as well as access of employees to the documents according to stated confidentiality of documents in the company.
